About

Joseph Van Nydeck was born in Texas and raised in the Southwestern United States. After spending his childhood navigating the rural and city-scapes of North America, he moved to Asia, became fluent in Mandarin Chinese, and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Chinese History. For over 25 years, he's worked in the fields of entertainment, finance, and technology. It's his affinity for geopolitical theater, martial arts, and technology that inform his thrillers, Tian Zhu and IRIN, featuring CIA legacy operative—Johnny Dekker.
